多氯聯(lián)苯曾經(jīng)在大規(guī)模的工業(yè)建設(shè)中發(fā)揮著重要作用，由于其性質(zhì)穩(wěn)定，長(zhǎng)期被廣泛用于各生產(chǎn)領(lǐng)域。
多氯聯(lián)苯幾乎不溶于水，一旦自然水體受到其污染，便會(huì)產(chǎn)生長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)影響。另外，大部分多氯聯(lián)苯最終都被沉積物吸附，因此沉積物是其主要的環(huán)境歸宿。再有，它還可能通過(guò)飲水途徑對(duì)居民產(chǎn)生致癌風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。
